Behind Les Plumes
Burgundy is my home area : I was born and grew up, and it felt only natural to settle here permanently in 2014, as I was approaching my forties, to bring this beautiful guest house project to life.
I have always had a true passion for travel, discovering places and people, and enjoying gastronomy, values I now share through the way I welcome my guest.
With a dregree in tourism, I worked for more than 16 years in travel agencies in Lyon and Chalon Sur Saône. I truly enjoyed the relation ship with customers, advising them, helping them plan their trips. Little by little, the idea of opening a guest house became an obvious next step : I have always love welcoming people into my home, and I was looking for more flexibility in my family life.
I knew I wanted to be close to the Beaune vineyards. I have always really enjoyed these four distinct seasons in Burgundy : life follows the rhythm of the vines, and the landscapes are beautiful all year round.
After a long search, in 2014 it was love at first sight for Gilly Lès Cîteaux and our future home. The historic village, the castel, the peacefull setting, the proximity to many touris sites, the garden ans its lovely courtyard, I could already imagine the project here.
It took a great deal of motivation and a full year of renovation work to make it happen. I also completed several training courses to prepare myself : oenology, hygiene standards, English and the business license. My motivation never faded.
Les Plumes was born, and by Christmas 2015 I was already welcoming my first guests.
Since then, I have hosted all kinds of travelers ; families, coiples, business guests with many conversations, shared laughs, and above all, wonderfull encounters. Recommending the best places and sharing my favotite local tips is one of my daily pleasures.
And the adventure continues ; in 2026 , a cottage will open to extend the same spirit of welcome and sharing that brings the house to life.
